Holly Pelesky is a writer and lover of literature. She reads and writes in all genres, preferring that which makes her laugh and feel and think. Her major influences are Lorrie Moore, Lidia Yuknavitch, J.D. Salinger, Sylvia Plath, Cheryl Strayed, and Kelly Corrigan.
She is a graduate of the MFA Program at the University of Nebraska. There she co-created its first ever fraternity which consists of a handful of emerging writers she is happy to share writing lives with.
She pieces together gigs to get by, refusing to give up this writer’s life. You can find her in aprons as a barista and a waitress, and in heels as a teacher of poetry. She lives in Nebraska with her two sons.
