I write as a way of wondering aloud about people. Why do we act the way we do? What are the traits that connect us, the emotions that fuse us? Although we have such varied experiences, there is a universal humanity that we all share.

I write fiction, both long and short.
Much to my 6 year-old’s chagrin, I also write poetry.
And my proudest work, my crown jewel, has been writing creative non-fiction which is like cutting my body open and spilling my guts onto a page.

I completed my MFA in July of 2018 and only upon finishing did I get serious about publishing all these words I have written.

In conjunction with endlessly submitting my work, I am putting together a chapbook of poetry. Afterward, I will return to my creative non-fiction and turn my manuscript into a book.
